Great White Shark Attacks
64King of the Deep
Just imagine what it would be like!
Most of us will never witness what it's like to even see a Great White shark, let alone be attacked or eaten alive!
Every year "Discovery Channel" has a special called "Shark Week." This show is intriguing and always creates a lot of inquires about different sharks and their impact in our environment.
There are hundreds of different kinds of sharks, and most are dangerous and should be approached with caution. I find it hard to believe that the Great White shark is ranked number "two" in the "Top Ten" most deadly sharks. I do understand why they rank the sharks the way they do. It has to do with reported number of attacks and documented deaths. The Great White ranks number two with 65 deaths worldwide since 1876. There have been approximately 242 "non fatal" attacks by this monster world wide. The number one ranking deadliest shark is the Bull Shark. This shark has the unique ability to survive in fresh water as well as salt. This killer has been responsible for attacks and deaths far up the Mississippi as well as other fresh water inlets and rivers.
I can tell you from experience that if I had to choose which shark to take a swim with, it wouldn't be the Great White! I would take my chances with the Bull Shark any day!

I really would hate to be a seal and have a Great White come up from below. These acrobats of the sea have the ability to actually out maneuver a seal of all creatures.
Many of the attacks on humans were believed to be "mistaken" identity. White sharks love to feed on sea lions. A surfer on the California coast from down below might just resemble a seal! Paddling out to catch a wave you dangle your arms and legs over and the surfers silhouette very much resembles "lunch!"
Below is a video showing the remarkable ability of the Great White to leap out of the water after its prey.
Are we "lima beans" to a Great White?

"The Great White can leap as high as 20" out of the water!"
I think you mean 20' (feet) not 20" (inches).
who do you thick can win.
i think that the great white is one of the most powerful and therefore interesting animals on the planet..i detest that people keep killing them..i mean.. the sea is their environment and people themselves keep intruding in their environment.. it is not fair to blame them for the attacks ..i wonder it thee is a group i could join to protest against killing sharks..i mean.. any animals..

When I look at the picture Of the great white shark, the eyes feel like they are staring right at me as if it were saying you are "lunch". The picture looks so real whenever I look at the picture of the great white shark.
