I am NOT small!

I think as a young child, Most of us are brain washed into thinking we can't do this or that. I wonder why that is?

My parents didn't do that a lot of that to me, I think it was more my friends that left lasting impressions.

Every night on TV there is story after story about the rich and famous. The media focuses mostly on the infidelities, more so than the wealth and abundance. I guess the lying and cheating is easier to relate to than the wealthy status. I would bet that if their were a nation wide poll asking the average citizen, if they thought they would ever achieve abundance or fame like some of our most popular celebrities, most people would answer with an astounding no!

Before I can reach my potential, I need to figure out just exactly what that is!

I mean, I've never been wealthy. I figure I'm sort of average looking. I haven't really traveled much. As far as material stuff, I don't have a lot of that either.I wonder why some people have a lot of stuff, and others don't?

I had a normal childhood with responsible and hard working parents. None of my relatives were crazy or out of the ordinary. I had my share of sadness and tragedies. But I wonder why I haven't achieved a status of being great? What is great? Why can't I be great?

I grew up, graduated from high school. I got married shortly there after. Soon I was the father of two children. I had a good job. I quit my good job for a different good job. Then I took another good job in a different state and on the other side of the world! I was soon divorced and lost most of the material possessions I had accumulated in my earlier life.

Now I've started over, with a new wife, job and child. My wife and our child is wonderful. I mean they are the best that anyone could ask for. But what is stopping me from becoming great? Am I already great? In who's eyes is it determined whether or not someone is great?

If I were to write down all of my dreams and desires, would I actually think that I could achieve them? A better question would be, "do I think I deserve to achieve them?"

So let me ask you something, "are YOU great? Do you think YOU deserve to be great?
